Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems and machine learning applications
- Lead research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant system architecture
- Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate quantum processors with classical computing frameworks
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at major conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and drive cross-functional innovation sprints
- Secure $1M+ in annual research grants through NSF and DoD partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development using Qiskit/Cirq
- Published research in quantum information theory or topological quantum computing
- Expertise in quantum simulation frameworks (e.g., Q#, Quil)
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters and GPU acceleration
- Strong track record of securing research funding
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum circuit optimization
