Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum circuits on IBM and Google quantum processors
- Develop error-correction frameworks for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Secure $1M+ in NSF and DARPA research grants
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Collaborate with product teams to commercialize quantum applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and computational complexity
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding
- Fluency in Python and C++ for quantum simulation
