Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction protocols for scalable quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional R&D projects with hardware engineers and software developers
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum conferences
- Drive patent development for proprietary quantum methodologies
- Mentor junior researchers and secure government/industry grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with 3+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and cloud quantum platforms
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and quantum mechanics
- Experience with high-performance computing and parallel processing
- Proven ability to secure research funding ($1M+ preferred)
- Excellent communication skills for technical and executive audiences
