Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-corrected quantum circuits on superconducting and photonic platforms
- Lead cross-functional R&D projects in quantum cryptography and AI integration
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals and present at QIP conferences
- Secure $500K+ in annual research grants through NSF/DOE proposals
- Mentor PhD candidates and build quantum computing curriculum for universities
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Applied Mathematics
- 3+ years hands-on experience with Qiskit/Cirq and quantum hardware
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Expertise in quantum machine learning and variational algorithms
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing frameworks
- Proven ability to secure government or industry research funding
- Strong background in condensed matter physics or quantum information theory
