Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical industrial applications
- Lead prototyping of quantum error correction systems using superconducting qubits
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum gate operations at cryogenic temperatures
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical machine learning frameworks for enterprise solutions
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and secure external funding through NSF/NIH grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum simulation frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science journals or equivalent
- Familiarity with quantum annealing hardware (D-Wave, Rigetti) and cryogenic systems
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and statistical mechanics
