Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for NISQ-era processors
- Lead research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum-coherent systems
- Secure $5M+ in research grants through DARPA/NSF proposals
- Develop quantum machine learning frameworks for industry applications
- Mentor postdocs and publish ≥3 high-impact papers annually
- Drive quantum security protocols for next-gen blockchain systems
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering
- 3+ years experience with superconducting/ion-trap quantum systems
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or Q# programming frameworks
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Strong background in quantum information theory and topology
- Experience with cryogenic quantum measurement systems
- Proven track record of securing government research funding
- Patent portfolio in quantum hardware/algorithms preferred
