Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum algorithms for optimization problems in logistics, drug discovery, and climate modeling
- Develop error-correction protocols for 100+ qubit systems
- Lead cross-functional projects with AI and materials science divisions
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $2M+ annual research funding through federal grants
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum machine learning
- Contribute to open-source quantum frameworks like Qiskit
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years experience with superconducting qubits or ion trap systems
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum algorithms
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with quantum libraries (Cirq, Q#)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes
- Strong track record of securing NSF/NIH grants
- Experience with quantum annealing hardware (D-Wave, Rigetti)
