Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing quantum error correction protocols
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum system performance
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier scientific journals
- Develop quantum machine learning frameworks for industrial applications
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum computing education initiatives
- Secure patents for proprietary quantum methodologies and architectures
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (required)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong background in quantum information theory and fault-tolerant systems
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent journals
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum hardware
- Expertise in machine learning and high-performance computing
- Ability to secure federal research funding (NSF/DOE preferred)
