Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum hardware-software interfaces
- Secure research funding through NSF and DoD grant proposals
- Publish findings in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Partner with Fortune 500 companies to apply quantum solutions
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Computational Mathematics
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- 5+ years of experience with quantum error correction techniques
- Published record in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with quantum simulation frameworks
- Strong background in machine learning and statistical modeling
- Clearance for DoD quantum security projects (preferred)
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems (desirable)
