Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions with classical computing systems
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals (Nature/Science/QIP)
- Develop error mitigation techniques for scalable quantum processors
- Secure $2M+ in government/industry grants for quantum initiatives
- Mentor PhD researchers and patent novel quantum architectures
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit/Cirq/Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or fault tolerance
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and low-level hardware interfacing
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics at graduate level
- Track record of translating theoretical models to practical implementations
