Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum algorithms for optimization problems in cryptography and materials science
- Lead experimental research on superconducting qubit systems with 99.9% fidelity targets
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures
- Collaborate with AI/ML teams to integrate quantum processors into hybrid computing frameworks
- Publish findings in Nature Physics and present at IEEE Quantum Week conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and secure $2M+ in NSF grants annually
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum focus
- 3+ years hands-on experience with D-Wave or IBM quantum processors
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit simulation frameworks
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and decoherence mechanisms
- Expertise in cryogenic engineering for quantum systems
