Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum error correction protocols
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processor architectures
- Publish findings in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants through NSF and DoD programs
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Develop open-source quantum frameworks for industry adoption
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research (superconducting/ion trap/qubit)
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or Q# programming frameworks
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters (HPC)
- Ability to secure government research funding (preferred)
- Clearance eligibility for DoD projects (bonus)
