Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for real-world applications in finance, logistics, and AI
- Lead cutting-edge research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum processor performance
- Publish breakthrough findings in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Secure $5M+ in government/industry grants for quantum research initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates and lead cross-functional innovation sprints
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development using Qiskit, Cirq, or similar frameworks
- Published work in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum simulation tools
- Experience securing government/NSF grants or corporate R&D funding
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and NISQ-era limitations
- Proven track record of translating theory into prototype implementations
