Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and cryptography
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature Physics and IEEE Quantum Journal
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical machine learning frameworks
- Secure $5M+ in government/industry grants for quantum research initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Collaborate with NASA and DARPA on quantum communication protocols
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published peer-reviewed research in quantum computing or information theory
- Expertise in quantum error correction and topological quantum computing
- Proficiency in high-performance computing frameworks (HPC, CUDA)
- Experience with quantum machine learning libraries (PennyLane, TensorFlow Quantum)
- Strong background in condensed matter physics and quantum optics
