Responsibilities

- Collaborate with hardware engineers to prototype next-generation quantum processors
- Lead cross-functional research projects targeting quantum advantage in real-world scenarios
- Publish findings in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $5M+ in government/industry grants for quantum research initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates and build quantum talent pipeline for 2026 ecosystem
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years industry R&D
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and Qiskit/Cirq programming frameworks
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Proficiency with quantum simulation tools (Q#, Quil, or Qiskit Aer)
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and superconducting qubits
- Track record of securing NSF/DARPA quantum research grants
- Strong collaboration skills with experimental physicists and ML engineers
- Security clearance eligibility for government quantum projects
