Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for optimization and cryptography applications
- Lead experimental validation of qubit coherence at 20mK temperatures
- Collaborate with hardware team on error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Secure $2M+ in NSF grants and DARPA contracts
- Mentor PhD interns from UT Austin's Quantum Science program
- Author 3+ peer-reviewed publications annually
- Present findings at QIP and IEEE Quantum Week conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 5+ years experience with superconducting qubits or ion traps
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization
- Published record in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Expertise in machine learning for quantum systems
- Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain
- Patent portfolio in quantum technologies preferred
