Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum circuits on superconducting and photonic platforms
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum error correction protocols
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical frameworks for real-world industry problems
- Secure research funding through NSF, DoE, and corporate partnerships
- Mentor junior researchers and publish in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Contribute to open-source quantum software frameworks like Qiskit and Cirq
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Quil) and classical frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow)
- Experience with quantum simulators (Qiskit Aer, Cirq) and cloud platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and complex analysis
