Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for computational optimization and machine learning
- Lead experimental quantum computing projects using superconducting qubit systems
- Develop error-correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Publish groundbreaking research in Nature/Science journals and premier conferences
- Mentor quantum engineering interns and junior researchers
- Collaborate with hardware teams to advance quantum processor architectures
- Secure federal and private research funding through compelling grant proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and quantum circuit design
- Published record in top-tier quantum computing publications (arXiv:quant-ph)
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with quantum simulation frameworks (QuTiP, TensorFlow Quantum)
