Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction protocols to stabilize qubit operations in multi-qubit systems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using proprietary hardware
- Collaborate with software engineers to translate quantum concepts into practical frameworks
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international quantum computing conferences
- Secure research grants and partnerships with academic institutions
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum literacy initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information Science with 3+ years industry experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and high-performance computing
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Demonstrated expertise in quantum hardware interfaces (superconducting, ion trap, photonic)
- Strong background in machine learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) for hybrid quantum-classical models
- Experience securing DoE or NSF grants for quantum research
- Ability to communicate complex quantum concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
