As a key member of our Future Technologies division, you'll drive breakthroughs in quantum error correction and scalable qubit architectures. Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Develop novel quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Lead experiments on superconducting qubit platforms and photonic quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum-classical hybrid interfaces
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
- Secure $2M+ in DARPA and NSF research grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information Science with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing journals (arXiv:quant-ph)
- Expertise in quantum circuit optimization and gate decomposition techniques
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Strong background in condensed matter physics or quantum field theory
- Experience with cryogenic systems and microwave control electronics
- Track record of translating theoretical models into experimental protocols
