Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Develop error-correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with hardware teams to prototype quantum processors at 100+ qubit scale
- Publish research in leading journals and present at international conferences
- Lead cross-functional projects translating theoretical concepts into practical applications
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent development
- Identify emerging quantum technologies with commercial potential by 2026
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, or Cirq)
- Published research in quantum information science or related fields
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and complexity analysis
- Demonstrated experience with quantum simulation platforms
- Ability to work in fast-paced, interdisciplinary environments
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for clearance
