Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems and machine learning
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to prototype quantum processors at 20mK temperatures
- Lead cross-functional teams to commercialize quantum solutions in finance and healthcare
- Author white papers and patents on quantum supremacy breakthroughs
- Present findings at IEEE Quantum Week and Davos Technology Forums
- Supervise postdoctoral researchers and PhD interns
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum programming experience (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, and low-level FPGA programming
- Deep understanding of Shor's algorithm and quantum entanglement principles
- Experience with quantum simulators (QASM, Qutip) and hardware benchmarks
- Clearance for DOE Quantum Information Science projects preferred
