As a Quantum Computing Research Scientist, you'll develop novel quantum algorithms, simulate complex molecular systems, and collaborate with Fortune 500 partners to solve previously unsolvable problems. Our state-of-the-art lab features 128-qubit processors and zero-temperature cryogenic systems – tools that push the boundaries of human innovation.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for cryptography optimization and AI acceleration
- Lead cross-functional experiments on quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Publish findings in Nature Physics and IEEE Quantum journals
- Partner with hardware teams to optimize quantum gate operations
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (2020-2026 graduates encouraged)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum simulators
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum machine learning and variational algorithms
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum assembly languages
- Experience with superconducting qubit architectures or topological quantum computing
