Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error mitigation techniques to achieve practical quantum advantage
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum applications for finance and healthcare
- Publish research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Drive quantum software stack development using Qiskit and Cirq frameworks
- Secure $2M+ in government grants for quantum research initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates and establish industry partnerships with quantum startups
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (QASM, Q#) and simulation tools
- Published research in quantum computing or topological quantum systems
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes (surface, color codes)
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems or trapped-ion platforms
- Strong track record of securing government or corporate research funding
