Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Design error-corrected quantum architectures targeting 100+ qubit stability
- Lead cross-functional projects with AI and cybersecurity teams
- Publish 2+ peer-reviewed papers annually in Nature/Science journals
- Secure $1M+ in annual research grants from DARPA/NASA
- Mentor PhD interns in quantum information theory
- Drive patent development in quantum-resistant cryptography
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on quantum programming (Qiskit/Cirq)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface/colour codes)
- Strong background in machine learning frameworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow)
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum systems
- Security clearance eligibility preferred
