Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead quantum error correction protocols achieving fault-tolerant computation
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop quantum-classical hybrid architectures
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals with quarterly output targets
- Secure $1M+ annual research grants through NSF and DARPA partnerships
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (postdoc preferred)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit simulation frameworks
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems or trapped ion technologies
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
- Track record of securing federal research grants
- Patent portfolio in quantum computing (3+ granted patents)
