Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning
- Lead experimental validation of quantum systems using IBM Q, Rigetti, and custom hardware
- Develop error-correction techniques to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate theoretical research into commercial applications
- Mentor junior researchers and publish 2+ peer-reviewed papers annually
- Secure $1M+ in government/industry grants for quantum research initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum computing or related fields
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance protocols
- Strong proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing frameworks
- Experience with quantum hardware integration and calibration
