Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate on quantum hardware architecture improvements with engineering teams
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and lead cross-functional innovation sprints
- Secure patents and intellectual property for proprietary quantum solutions
- Participate in national quantum computing consortium initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (exceptional MS candidates with 5+ years experience considered)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum computing or theoretical physics
- Deep understanding of quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, VQE) and complexity theory
- Experience with cryogenic systems or superconducting qubit manipulation
- Strong mathematical foundations in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Proven track record of translating theoretical concepts into practical implementations
