Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing quantum hardware-software integration protocols
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Collaborate with government and industry partners on quantum security initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum literacy across the organization
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum focus
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing experience (IBM Q, Rigetti, or similar)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in Python, Qiskit, and quantum simulation frameworks
- Published record in quantum information science or quantum algorithms
- Security clearance eligibility (preferred for government projects)
- Experience with high-performance computing environments
