Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Develop error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to prototype quantum processors using superconducting qubits
- Lead cross-functional teams in translating theoretical models into scalable quantum solutions
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure federal and corporate grants for quantum computing initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers and foster innovation through quantum computing workshops
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum computing specialization
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, etc.)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum circuit simulation tools
- Demonstrated understanding of quantum decoherence and hardware limitations
- Experience with high-performance computing environments and HPC optimization
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex quantum concepts
- Track record of securing research funding or patents in quantum technologies
