Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum processors
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy experiments using superconducting qubits
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patent applications in quantum information science
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure $1M+ in annual research funding through NSF and DoD grants

Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with quantum focus
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, or Cirq)
- Published research in Nature/Science/Physical Review X or equivalent
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency with cryogenic quantum hardware systems
