Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing quantum error correction protocols
- Conduct cutting-edge research in quantum hardware-software integration
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to prototype quantum computing systems
- Secure and manage research grants from government and industry partners
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent development
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in high-performance computing and parallel processing
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and statistical mechanics
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Q, Rigetti, or IonQ)
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding ($500k+ preferred)
- Entrepreneurial mindset with passion for commercializing quantum technologies
