Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for 2026-era applications in cryptography and AI optimization
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using superconducting qubit systems
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures
- Author high-impact publications and patents in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory and experimental physics
- Secure $2M+ in annual R&D funding through federal grants and industry partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of industry research
- Proven expertise in quantum circuit design and gate-model quantum computing
- Published record in Nature/Science or equivalent journals on quantum algorithms
- Proficiency with quantum simulation frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq) and HPC environments
- Demonstrated success securing NSF or DoE quantum computing grants
- Experience with cryogenic quantum processor hardware and control systems
- Strong background in topological quantum computing and Majorana fermions
