Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical applications in finance and healthcare
- Develop error-correction protocols to enhance quantum system stability
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum hardware components
- Publish research in IEEE and Nature journals with quarterly impact targets
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants through NIH and DARPA proposals
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Collaborate with Intel and IBM on quantum cloud integration
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing experience with superconducting qubits
- Published research in Nature or Science (minimum 3 papers)
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research funding
- Experience leading technical teams of 5+ researchers
- Fluency in Python, C++, and quantum assembly languages
