Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead development of fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors
- Publish peer-reviewed research in quantum information science
- Secure federal and industry research grants ($500K+ target)
- Mentor PhD researchers in quantum algorithms and complexity theory
- Develop quantum machine learning frameworks for enterprise applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum focus
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Expertise in quantum circuit optimization techniques
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Experience with cloud quantum computing platforms (IBM Q, Amazon Braket)
