Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical industrial applications
- Develop quantum error mitigation strategies for near-term quantum devices
- Lead cross-functional projects with AI and cybersecurity teams
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals
- Secure $2M+ in government and private research grants
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Present breakthroughs at IEEE Quantum Week and APS March Meeting
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum focus
- 3+ years hands-on experience with Qiskit or Cirq frameworks
- Published research in quantum machine learning or quantum cryptography
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and quantum circuit design
- Experience with IBM Quantum Experience or Rigetti Forest
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts to hardware implementations
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
