Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error mitigation techniques for NISQ-era quantum processors
- Lead cross-functional teams in translating theoretical models into quantum hardware implementations
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier quantum computing journals and conferences
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to co-design quantum-resistant cryptographic protocols
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical machine learning frameworks for 2026-era applications
- Secure research grants from NSF, DARPA, and industry partners
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published work in quantum information theory or quantum error correction
- Deep understanding of quantum annealing and superconducting qubit architectures
- Experience with cloud quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti)
