Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Develop fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures using superconducting and photonic systems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims across 100+ qubit systems
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate quantum acceleration into neural networks
- Publish groundbreaking research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $5M+ in quantum computing grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years industry experience
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature/Science/PRX)
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Proficiency in quantum error correction codes (surface, LDPC, etc.)
- Experience with cryogenic quantum computing hardware (D-Wave, IBM Q)
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
- Proven ability to secure federal research funding
- Patent portfolio in quantum technologies preferred
