Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Develop error mitigation strategies for quantum coherence in NISQ-era systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to calibrate quantum processors
- Lead research on quantum machine learning applications
- Publish breakthrough findings in peer-reviewed journals
- Secure external research grants from NSF and DARPA
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Expertise in quantum error correction protocols
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Proven track record of publishing high-impact research
- Familiarity with quantum hardware architectures (superconducting, trapped ion)
- Experience with cloud quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti)
