Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical industry applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims on hybrid quantum-classical systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum error correction protocols
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Develop patentable quantum machine learning frameworks for enterprise clients
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Expertise in topological quantum computing and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong mathematical foundations in linear algebra, group theory, and probability
- Experience with high-performance computing and GPU-accelerated simulations
- Track record of translating theoretical concepts into working prototypes
