Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation
- Develop quantum error mitigation protocols for fault-tolerant computing
- Lead experimental quantum computing projects using superconducting qubits
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate quantum acceleration in ML pipelines
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals
- Secure $5M+ in quantum research grants
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (2020-2026 graduates encouraged)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Expertise in quantum hardware platforms (IBM, Rigetti, or IonQ)
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Experience with high-performance computing and parallel processing
- Proven ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
