Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum algorithms for cryptography optimization and machine learning acceleration
- Lead experiments on superconducting qubits and topological quantum systems
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into viable quantum architectures
- Secure NSF and DARPA grants for next-generation quantum research
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Author breakthrough publications in Nature Physics and IEEE Transactions
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Applied Mathematics
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum simulators (Qiskit, Cirq) or hardware (IBM Quantum, Rigetti)
- Publication record in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and decoherence mitigation
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and assembly-level quantum programming
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and superposition principles
- Experience securing federal research grants (> $500K)
