Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental research on quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions into commercial products
- Publish research in Nature/Science and present findings at top-tier conferences
- Develop quantum software frameworks using Qiskit, Cirq, and custom Python tooling
- Mentor junior researchers and drive innovation in quantum hardware-software co-design
- Secure $5M+ in research grants and patents for breakthrough discoveries
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of industry experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and quantum circuit optimization
- Proven track record publishing in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics, linear algebra, and complexity theory
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Strong background in machine learning and classical algorithm design
- Ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical quantum applications
