Responsibilities
- Lead research in quantum algorithms for practical applications in finance, logistics, and AI
- Develop error-correction techniques to advance quantum coherence beyond 1000-qubit systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum-classical hybrid workflows
- Publish breakthrough findings in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum literacy initiatives across industries
- Secure $2M+ in government/private research grants for 2026 roadmap projects
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with superconducting/qubit systems or topological quantum computing
- Published research in quantum error correction or fault-tolerant architectures
- Expertise in Python/C++ with quantum frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Strong background in quantum information theory and many-body physics
- Proven track record translating theoretical models into experimental prototypes
- Experience securing DOE/NIST quantum research grants
