Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical commercial applications
- Lead cross-functional R&D projects in quantum machine learning and cryptography
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals with 2+ publications/year
- Optimize quantum circuits for error correction and scalability on major cloud platforms
- Collaborate with hardware teams to validate theoretical models against real quantum processors
- Develop patentable quantum solutions for finance, logistics, and pharmaceutical clients
- Mentor junior researchers and quantum engineering interns
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Mathematics with quantum computing focus
- 3+ years hands-on experience with Qiskit, Cirq, or Q# frameworks
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in linear algebra, complex analysis, and statistical modeling
- Experience with superconducting qubits or trapped-ion systems
- Strong Python/C++ programming skills with scientific computing libraries
- Track record of translating theoretical concepts into experimental results
