Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications
- Lead experimental quantum computing projects using superconducting and photonic systems
- Collaborate with AI teams to develop quantum-enhanced machine learning models
- Publish high-impact research in leading scientific journals and conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent development
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum computing frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong background in quantum information theory and error correction
- Publication record in quantum computing or adjacent fields
- Proficiency in Python and low-level programming for quantum systems
- Demonstrated ability to work in multidisciplinary research teams
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for government collaborations
