Responsibilities
- Design and execute advanced quantum algorithms for real-world applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing quantum-resistant cryptography protocols
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Optimize quantum hardware performance through error correction techniques
- Secure $5M+ in government/private research grants annually
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Collaborate with NASA and MIT on quantum satellite communication projects
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (2020-2026)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum annealing or superconducting qubits
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent (minimum 2 papers)
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum simulation frameworks
- Demonstrated success in securing federal research grants
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Strong background in machine learning applied to quantum data
