Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications in finance, healthcare, and logistics
- Lead cross-disciplinary research teams to prototype quantum processors with 1000+ qubit stability
- Develop error-correction frameworks to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computing by 2026
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science and present findings at quantum conferences
- Secure $5M+ in government and private research funding through compelling proposals
- Mentor PhD candidates and establish industry partnerships for quantum technology adoption
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Published record in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction (arXiv/IEEE references required)
- Expertise in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq) and classical simulation tools
- Proven ability to translate theoretical concepts into experimental prototypes
- Strong background in superconducting circuits or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Experience securing DoE/NIST grants or corporate R&D partnerships
- Passion for quantum ethics and responsible innovation frameworks
