Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop novel quantum error correction techniques to achieve fault-tolerant computing
- Lead cross-functional research teams in quantum hardware-software co-design
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Collaborate with government agencies on quantum security standards
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Translate theoretical models into practical quantum applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Publication record in quantum computing or condensed matter physics
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Strong analytical skills with complex mathematical modeling
- US citizenship or permanent residency required (government contracts)
