Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms targeting optimization, cryptography, and simulation problems
- Develop error mitigation techniques for NISQ-era quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Lead research publications in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Prototype quantum machine learning frameworks for enterprise applications
- Secure $2M+ in research funding through NSF and industry partnerships
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Expertise in linear algebra, probability theory, and quantum mechanics
- Proficiency in Python with scientific computing libraries (NumPy, SciPy)
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters and parallel processing
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex quantum concepts into business applications
